Entertainment!
Throughout the (August 18, 2012) party, great 1972 (and earlier) live music videos were projected at one end of the ballroom/hall, the audio of which was periodically interspersed with special events and announcements. Pictures from old yearbooks and people's archives were projected at the other end of the hall, scrolling throughout the reunion.
A surprise march-in performance by the current BHS marching band occurred about halfway through the event.
Former BHS choir members provided another inspired performance...
A great highlight was then provided by Jan (Cutlip) Krist's wonderful singing and playing with Alan Finkbeiner (her talented husband, who also, thankfully, helped tweak the sound system wiring and settings before the event).
Also very entertaining was the Marshall Crenshaw performance downtown at the Detroit Riverfront, the night before the reunion. About 15 of us took a limo [courtesy of Cathy (Fredrick) Gisi] (and others met there), to enjoy a great show by Marshall, Class of '71 (our Class's big brother).
*Please let us know if you have any inspired ideas about hearing particular music, and/or if you have strong feelings on if we should have live music. Of course, the musicians would have to understand that they can't be too loud, and that people are mainly there to have conversations rather than be focused on a concert.
